Autodiscovery URL is set incorrect within a user's profile
I have a user running Windows 7 and Outlook 2007. They are connected to a SBS 2008. If I run the Test Email Autoconfiguration option in Outlook, it fails because the Autodiscovery URL is set to http://userdomain.com when it should be set to http://remote.userdomain.com This is a setting that is messed up just for this one user profile. All other users are fine and if this user logs in elsewhere, the setting is correct. Where is this setting stored in his profile so I can fix this?

This is an interesting problem. Have you tried posting it to the SBS forum? http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/smallbusinessserver/threads

Is this a new user, or has it been working properly until now? One easy solution would be to simply delete the local user profile, and log on as that user again to create a fresh profile. (If it's a new user). If it's an existing user, creating a new profile is a pain in the butt.

Yeah, it will work if I do that, but this is one of those user's that freaks out when his decades of settings disappear. I should have stated before that this was working up until he migrated from XP to win 7.

Like I said, if you need to know the nitty gritty of Autodiscovery, the SBS or Exchange forums are probably the place to be.

Hi, I agree with bigteddy, it seems this is not a Windows 7 issue. you could install the following update for test; Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB2412171) If it persists, it is recommended to post at the Outlook forum for further help: Outlook IT Pro Discussions Forum Alex ZhaoPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
