Auto updates
I have a vista run Computer. Yesterday (4/12/2012) it was connected to the internet from about 10:00 am to 11:00 am only. It was then disconnected - cable removed. Then at 1:00 am (4/13/2012) while still disconnected it starts an automatic update, runs through the sequence of updating files part 1 thru 3, and reboots. Today at 3:00 pm I woke up the cpu and it tells me new updates have been installed. I checked and 9 new updates show as successfully installed on 4/13/2012. The cpu has not been connected to the internet ( cable removed) since 4/12/2012 at 11:00 am. How is it that this unit can get an update, list it as successful when the unit was not connected to the internet during that update time? Note: this is not the first time this has happened either.

Evidently, the update files were downloaded before you disconnected from the internet.......Carey Frisch
