Auto Expand if App Touches Top of Display
This problem did not exist with Windows Vista. I have a Dell 2408WFP monitor and nVidia GeForce 580 graphics card. Monitor resolution is 1920x1200 (native). What happens is straight forward - if I move an application to the top of the screen it automatically expands to full screen. If I move it to the sides (such as moving part of the app out of view so I can have two apps side-by-side), the app expands to show all of the app on the monitor. This is not what I want. It seems the only place I can move an app without having Windows 7 do something I don't want is down. I've checked the nVidia settings, monitor settings and went to the control panel and can't find anything that affects this. Can anyone provide any ideas/recommendations to resolve this? Again, I didn't have this with Vista, only with 7. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Thanks, Nicholas.

This is a brand new feature with Windows 7 called Aero Snap. If you do not like it, try going to the Control Panel | Ease of Access | Make Mouse Easier to Use | Uncheck the "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen" I will say I did not like this feature at first, but I got used to it pretty quick. I even find myself pushing programs to the top of the screen in Vista and XP because I am so used to it! (Obviously nothing happens when I do it)

Thanks, garveyk659, that did it! :-) I'm a happy camper again! I may try giving it another chance. Someday... Nicholas.
