Auditing of C Drive
I am trying to turn on Auditing on the C Drive for failures for the everyone group. I am building a Windows 7 x64 Image for my company. When I go to the advanced security properties and go to auditing tab, I click continue. After clicking yes on the UAC prompt, the next window states "You do not have privileges to view this object's auditing properties, even as an administrator." and suggests taking ownership of the drive. I have taken ownership and this did not correct the issue. Please help!

Hi, There is no prompt appears when I press continue in auditing tab of advanced security properties. My account is local administrator. Please have a test with built-in administrator. (To check the permissions tab, be sure that your account has the full control permission of the drive)Ivan-Liu TechNet Community Support

I was using the local admin account, but we got the issue fixed anyways. We had to go into the local security policys and allow the local admin group permissions to view the auditing. Thanks for the response.
