Audio lagging while connected to WiFi net
When playing my media files on my laptop with Vista Home ed. I get audio lagging every 50-70 sec. Done some monitoring and discovered that the problem was appering when the NIC was doing some activities in the same interval. When I turned of my WiFi the problem disapered. I'm also using windows mediaplayer. Fyi, this is my first thread in this forum and I'm not been able to locate any releated thread. // It's also good knowledge to know when you don't know //

Hello, Thanks to your good research, the cause of this issue has been fixed on the NIC behaviors. Based on my experience, similar issues are usually device drivers related, if so, what we can help you from Windows side may be limited. You may need to contact the manufacturer of your NIC to report this issue and gain further support. Having said that, lets see what we can do for you. As you described, you found NIC was doing some activities while the sound encountering lags, can you give us some more details about the activities. Besides, your system information is also important, which includes the model of you computer (if integrated desktop or laptop); or the model of your NIC card and motherboard (if assembled one). Have a good day! Regards, Lionel Chen Microsoft Online Community Support
