Audio Jack Pop-up

I have an Acer e15.
Recently, I purchased a new headset that plugs into the 3.5mm jack on the front left of my laptop. Normally, I use a USB headset, but this one was cheaper and more to tide me over until I had the extra money to foot the bill. Before this, I only used headphones, ear buds to be precise, in this jack and as such had it set to not ask me every time I plugged them in. However, with the addition of the mic on the jack, I need to change it to recognize the mic. I cannot find the setting to make the popup come up again, I've tried a Google search, but most people who are having trouble seem to have the problem after the popup so it didn't help much.

Basically, my question is whether or not there is a way to make that popup come up again? I've looked most places and hopefully it's there. Did I overlook something? I'd prefer to have the mic as I use Skype often, and the integrated mic is overly sensitive for my taste.

These sound settings control by your sound manager or sound card, you should open your sound setting and check for options there, it is different for different brands and manufacturer or your could discuss it on Acer forum or with their support.

Agree with CDT

May I know your details Acer model and Headset model

its also depend on your Headset setting, if you buy headset with Microphone, its supposed to be also have Microphone jack

Unless you have combo headphone jack like this, you can put it as single input

Discuss with Acer or Headphone manufactured for the details

Note: you cant use phone headset with Microphone as Laptop headset plus Microphone, the one that will working is only headset function

Please also let us know the update after you contact their supports
