Audio Driver Code 28... Sony Vaio VGN-RC310G
SONY VAIO VGN-RC310G (I think it's that one...) Came with Windows XP Home Edition. Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus ((SigmaTel, RealTek, AC'97, Vista Drivers, etc... don't know how to get it work...) CODE 28 Does have TV-Tuner abilities but don't know if that would cause problems. No solution found. I have tried troubleshooting and installing old drivers, new drivers, vista drivers, I can not seem to get it from the manufacturer's site. Uninstalled, restarted. I did have to delete the "old" windows XP Home Edition recovery section... I don't know if this caused a problem, my computer is now no longer recognized as a "SONY" Computer so doing automatic such things does not work have to manually look for them. *rolls eyes* Please help... This is frustrating because I do not want/have money to spend on a new Audio Card. -_-

Hi, Please confirm the product’s name, so we can find correct direction. And this should be device or driver issue, you could contact manufacturer directly. Thanks. Hello, I currently Own the Same Computer (Sony Vaio VGC-RC310G) and Just purchased Windows 7, I am in the process of backing up certain files and will be upgrading my computer tonight. Because the computer is about 4/5 years old I do expect to encounter some problems, but I hope nothing too serious. I will try to update this forum on what issues I had and how I resolved them.

Hello again I just completed the installation of Windows 7 on my "Sony Vaio VGC-PCV310G". Everything went smoothly except for the Audio drivers which I downloaded from Sony's website. Even though I was able to manage to get the audio working, audio from movies and MP3's don't seem to work. I am working out these bugs and will update as soon as I figure it out. The only device that has an issue in the device properties is a some sorta "Multimedia Video Controller" I am working on it as we speak
