I have an Audiocodes MP-118 gateway that I need to configure as a bridge from Lync to a Bogen intercom system. I followed this guide http://www.lynclog.com/2011/04/analog-phone-support-with-lync-2010.html and that worked great for the intercom phones to call out. They can call Lync extensions or call out to the outside world.
Where I'm stuck is that I can't call into the intercom system from my Lync phone.
So the intercom system is it's own closed phone system. The MP-118 is providing the dialtone for outbound calls (as if the MP-118 were a telecom provider) and the intercom is providing dialtone to the MP-118 for inbound calls.
I need to be able to call the assigned number and have the MP-118 pick up the Lync call and pass me the dial tone from the Bogen intercom system. I can then dial room numbers.
I created an Analog Device as described in the above guide. I can find that analog device in the Lync directory but when I call it I get ringing then disconnected. I suspect the problem is that Lync doesn't know where to send the calls. Like if it were a
normal user it would be logged in, the MP-118 isn't "logged in" to Lync.
I hope I'm explaining myself correctly. I'm very new to phone systems.
