Attempted Switch From DPC

My laptop has begun randomly restarting after coming out of sleep mode and takes me to a screen with a sad face saying the computer needs to restart and the error is attempted switch from dpc. That is all it tells me I am not sure what the cause is. Any help would be great.

Thank you

It may help to look at the minidump files from the blue screen crashes with a debugger.

Can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site?

Here's a couple of links on using OneDrive (SkyDrive):

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/onedrive/share-file-folder

If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop

Also, you do not necessarily have to zip up the minidump files, you can upload them one at a time

The minidump files showed the rtwlane.sys as the probable cause of the crashes:

BUCKET_ID:  0xB8_rtwlane+112c02

The rtwlane.sys is the Realtek wireless driver and if this driver has been recently updated try rolling back the driver to a previous stable version.

The following driver may work the best (2007.12.0419.2013 for Windows 8):

Also, one of the crashes showed the NOBuAgent.exe as the process that crashed.

The NOBuAgent.exe is a Norton Online Backup component so if Norton Online Backup has been recently installed consider that it may be a contributing factor in the crashes.

Thank you for the help. One more thing. When I download that file do I need to go through any installation process? It did not start one after the download was complete it just saved the file on my laptop.

Never mind, I found the setup and installed it.

Thanks again
