Hi, Thank you for posting here. Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Please check the switch of your Wireless NIC. There are several kind of methods to disable and enable the Wireless NIC: 1. There may be a physical switch on your computer. 2. If this is a laptop, you can use the shortcut key Fn+(a specific key) to do this. 3. You may also installed the Wireless network management utility on your computer, please check if you have enabled the Wireless NIC here. 2. If the driver is not for Windows 7, this may lead to the issue. Please also go to the computers manufacture site and check if there is a new driver released. Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT

I have exactly the same problem with an AR5007EG Atheros Card. Latest drivers from Windows Update (or the most recent from the manufacturer site - acer - doesn't matter) Windows 7 RC 7100. Device appears enabled under network devices just like in the screenshot above, but the hardware is actually disabled (no light on indicator and Atheros utility reports it as 'Hardware disabled') If I disable and then enable it via right click menu the indicator turns on for a fraction of a second and the diagnostic software reports a conection, but then it shuts down again, but Windows still reports the device as 'Enabled'...
