Asked for a network password when I try to access a folder on my computer to attach documents to an email.
I scan documents on my printer to a folder on my computer that is linked to a work network. When I need to attach something to an email from the folder, it won't let me access it...it asks for a Network password but everyone else in our office can access my folder and attach items. Please help me figure out how to fix this problem! (I am the only one in the office with Windows 7 operating system)

Hi, I have never experience the same problem. Can you directly access that folder? I assume that you do not have sufficient permission to access the folder. Please check this. Also, you may provide a credential which have enough rights for a test. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I thought I'd receive an email letting me know that someone replied but I never received one... Yes, I can directly access the folder because it's on my computer but I can't access it when I try to attach something from the folder to an email. The really strange thing is that everyone else in my office can access the folder when trying to attach something to an email!!!

Hi, Do you mean the folder is on your own computer? If so, based on my understanding, this should not happen. Please run the Email application as administrator. Also, Can you access the folder when you provide a administrative credential? Regarding the forum alert, you may set it up in your Profile. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
