Arabic language not supported on Windows 7 as XP
Hi,
On Windows 7 right to left languages, typing numbers in start of a text line included special characters (commas, dashes, dots, etc...) will not displayed properly.
Example
If you type on Windows 7 Notepad the following
125-4441-54127
(Starting with 54127)
It will be displayed
54127-4441-125
But on Windows XP Notepad, it will be displayed correct
125-4441-54127
Here another example, on Windows XP "in a new line" I typed the date on the format
Year-month-day
Starting with the day "25"
It will be displayed correctly
But on Windows 7 (Enterprise) Notepad, it will be displayed wrongly
The direction will be fixed if we start the text line by any Arabic letter followed by the date
Which means it needs Right-to-Left character to fix the direction of all text line.
This bug causes problem on many of "Right to left" applications on Windows 7, because some applications have text boxes only to display text as a date. So, the date on these
applications will display wrongly.
Note:
This issue is not related to Date format on Regional Settings \ Control Panel, it is related to Right to Left editing text.
