Hi,

Can you share with me what kind of OS are you trying to provision ?

To deploy a WIM using ImageX, you will need to be running on an environment native to the computer. A file share applies over existing file system and file share protocols, where ImageX writes directly to the partition on a native disk. As such, you will need to boot to a WinPE environment, such as one manually prepared or prepared through MDT. This can be done through optical or USB media, or through the network via PXE.

See the guidance posted here: Deploying Windows 8.1 from a USB Stick

Imagex is deprecated for Windows 8. You need to use DISM from the Windows 8.1 ADK instead.
