Applying Computer Settings Taking a very long time in XP Pro
What is strange is when i disconnect the network lead, it will load very quickly to the login screen. If i restart with the network lead plugged in, it hangs for about 3 minutes till it gets to the login screen. Checking even viewer, i get errors that the machine could not run a gpo. I have enabled netbios over tcp/ip to no avail and disabled the webclient service via a KB from Microsoft support. I have also even gotten the latest hotfixes and service packs for this machine, but it still takes abou three minutes to apply the computer settings before getting to the login screen? Any other Expert ideas that i could try to get this up and running? Thanks.7 people need an answerI do too

Try moving the computer to a different OU in AD. We had the same issue and it was an old script that was trying to load that was dead. Hope this helps..
