Applocker not working ...
Maybe I'm missing something, but I can run all apps without turning on Applocker. Actually I'm not sure if its turned on or not, I can't seem to find anywhere to turn it on. I have created some policies, for instance to lock out Outlook 2007, but I can still run it under a standard user. I have viewed the video about the setup. I have seen the post about not being able to boot the system with Applocker turned on. ON the main screen of the Applocker plugin it states 'When Applocker is turned on....". OK, so how do I turn it on?--Bob

Hello rroyce, Have you read the Sticky topic about the issues with App Locker in Windows 7? If that doesnt answer your question you can take a look at the video providedhere to find out more information about App locker. Regards,~Alex T.~ ~Windows Desktop Experience MVP~

I have the same issue. The sticky thread only talks about the digital certificates being expired - thus AppLocker blocks everything. The video only shows how to create policy. I have policy defined, but have not been able to get AppLocker to block anything. Neither the sticky thread or video says anything about enabling the functionality. Does defining policy imply that AppLocker is enabled, or does the functionality have to be turned on somewhere else? If defining policy enables AppLocker, I have been unable to get it to do anything at all.

Me too. I have defined a executable deny rule ain applocker nd then restart the computer. However, the blocked applications can still run.

I have the same problem. It is working on some PCs and not on some. Initially it was working on all PC, but somehow administrative password of 2 PCs leaked and someone did something horrible with AppLocker. And yes, Application Identity service is running perfectly. I also tried to disable then enable AppLocker, but no use. Any help please.
