Application install see network drive as UNC path
I am trying to install application from server that is mapped, but application fails because it says need to run locally or from mapped drive. I have used the GUI version of mapping a drive and net use commands two different ways: net use S:\\swaapp008\mbs
& net use \\172.16.16.28\mbs. It will map it fine, but again when I run install it says it can't run it from UNC path. Is there anyway around this?

Hi,
According to your description, I suggest to perform these tests to troubleshoot the issue:
1 Logon with
Clean Boot
2 Temporally disable firewall
3 Disable UAC
4 Manually map network driver:
1)
Open “Computer”
2)
Map network drive
5 Add the network location to trust sites
6 Add the credential in Credential Manager
If the issue persists, try to copy the application to local and install to see the result.
Hope that helps.
