AppLocker don't work
I'm trying out the AppLocker on a standalone windows 7 pro computer, however I couldn't get it to work. I started the "Application Identity" and set it to Automatic, and I wanted to test with the office 2010 pro installed. I went into AppLocker Properties, enabled all rules under "Enforcement". next, I went to create 3 new rules in the "Executable Rules". 1. A new Publisher rule, it denies "everyone", publisher: O=Microsoft Corporation ... product name: Microsoft Office 2010 ... file name: * and file version: *. no exception under this rule. 2. A new Path rule, it denies "everyone", path: %Programfiles%\Microsoft Office\*. again, no exception under this rule. 3. A new File Hash rule, it denies "everyone", File name: EXCEL.EXE, POWERPNT.EXE, WINWORD.EXE, OUTLOOK.EXE Once I finished the abvoe configuration, I exited out Local Security Policy and restarted Windows. My understanding is now the office application should be locked out to All Users on this computer. I logged back into Windows (I'm the only user, administrators group), and start Microsoft Word. It works, no problem. Then I try MS EXCEL, also worked. Then I try MS Powerpoint, startup ok. obviously the application wasn't lock down properly, I don't know where to check for reason. Can someone please help to figure this out? what did i miss?

Perhaps you should go to the web page explicitly for AppLocker instead of posting in a Windows 7 forum. AppLocker is a seperate, standalone program. AppLocker Step-by-Step Guide http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd723686(WS.10).aspx
