Anyway to see what feedback I've submitted so far?
I've been submitting bugs using the "Send feedback" icon on the Windows 7 Beta's desktop. Is there any way to view the feedback which I have submitted so far? Also, is any of my feedback credited or tied to my technet account in case Microsoft desides to award any of it's beta testers with a free copy of Windows 7 when it's released?

Unfortunately it seems the local copy of the actual feedback message gets trashed after being sent.I believe if you used one of the TechNet product keys for Windows 7, then your feedback is posted to Connect, but if you used one of the public keys it just goes straight into the Microsoft database with nothing linking it to you.Oh, and MS isn't giving free copies out to beta testers this time.I believe it says that in the release notes.

I downloaded windows through the Official Windows 7 site using my same windows live ID I use on my technet account, so I think it's all tied in together. I hope anyways. I've put many hours into this already...about 25 hrs waiting for the delayed download to go live, and a dozen hours or so since installing and using it and submitting feedback and bugs, so I can at least hope for a free copy when it's released.

Unfortunately the Connect pages on Windows 7 are hidden from the public, and unless you got an email inviting you to it, there was/is no way to get into it. And while it would be nice, I highly doubt that any of us will get a free copy of Windows 7 when it releases.

And speaking of the Feedback app, it's a shame it doesn't allow (IIRC) to attach files. PSR is a great tool and the Feedback app would be even more useful if we could use it to send PSR generated mhts.

If you have a Technet subscription you should be able to use this link to add Windows 7 beta to your Connect Dashboard, allowing you to review feedback.https://connect.microsoft.com/InvitationUse.aspx?ProgramID=2819&SiteID=647&InvitationID=MSDN-D7QX-9PRC&wa=wsignin1.0

Yeah, I tried, but I couldn't see it anywhere on my technet account, even after using the link PMFranklin suggested I try.

I tried the link also and this is what i saw You are already in the participation process for this program. Invitation ID there is nothing in my dashboard to show i sent feedback.as you see above there is NO ID number- I did not intentially leave that out but i am logged inand as said there is nothing in my dashboard and it says there is no record of feedback sent.I did pick up windows 7 on their main site with my telnet login. and windows live login which are both the samealso- on the right side it states but it is greyed out:You need permission to submit feedback in this area. To apply for permission, browse through your choices on the Connection Directory page.I went to the connection directory page and there is nothing listed for windows 7 but as you see in my first post it states I am already in- duh!robin

You say you got it from the public site? Did you you use a key generated on the Technet download centre?I'm at a loss guys - sorry - it works for me...but I'll put down what I've done as a checklist.Downloaded ISO from Technet subscriber areaObtained Beta key from Technet subscriber areaActivated Win7Followed Link above to activate Connect for my LiveIDUsed the same LiveID to submit feedback in Win7Use the last link I gave to view all feedback from Technet subscribers and view/amend my own.

I got it from the Windows 7 site here....http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/. And I used my same Windows Live ID as is used on my Technet account. "MSDN and Technet Bug Submissions - Windows 7 MSDN Bug Portal Program" is now showing up under my Dashboard on the Connect site which wasn't showing up there before, however, when I click on it and go to feedback, there is nothing listed under the "Posted by Me" area. Also, up towards the top right, it tells me that I need permission to submit feedback in this area.

BigD, I think I know what has happened. You're a Technet subscriber but you have downloaded the public beta and used a public key. Any feedback from people using the public keys do not have access to Connect. So whilst you're a Technet subscriber you're not using a Technet key and therefore you don't get to see your feedback. Am I right? When you use a Technet key to activate Windows then it ties it into your Connect dashboard and will show as your feedback.I could be totally way off track here, but it sounds feasible.Edit: Good news is that if you head over to your Technet Subscriber area and obtain a beta key, you should be able to Change the Product Key in Win7 to your Technet one without reinstalling. Bad news is that your previous feedback will never be associated with your Connect Dashboard.

Yes...that sounds correct. I can see the Windows 7 Beta under the download area in my technet account, however, the key and download icons for the windows 7 beta is grayed out. I did not get an e-mail invite to the beta program, and I do not have a paid technet subscription, so I had to get it from the public Windows 7 site.
January 15th, 2009 6:43pm

Ahh, in that case you can't use Connect - your feedback will always be sent anonymously. When I said Technet subscriber I meant that you're a paid subscriber. They got access to the betaa few days earlier and get the Connect Dashboard access.

I enjoy doing this stuff, but hate to see my many hours of work go unattributed to me. Especially if Microsoft ever decided to award it's beta testers with a complimentary copy of Windows 7 when it's released.

You're welcome. There should be a Sticky up explaining the options and links so others don't go through the same confusion. If it's any consolation, I'm a paid Technet subscriber but there's no carrot for us that we'll receive a free copy of Windows 7 either.
