I am not able touse the software that runs MAXTOR one touch 160 GB HDD external USB. The software gets installed ( The drivers are for Windows Vista ) normally but when the exe program runs within the windows it is not able to do anything and just quits. Can anyone help?

I have no fire wire external plug. Ihave the normal USB2 for my hard disk. Unfortunately I cant make it work. May be the Maxtor people need to write new drivers for Windows-7. I tried to follow the sub-routine in the windows but was not able to duplicate the process in Windows-7. I yet have to find a way how this windows call for procedures and GUIs.

As you say Maxtor is probably working on drivers as well as the RC version of Windows may correct it Hope so Have a good Day chamblisstom@bellsouth.net
