Anyone Else Not satisfied with IE8?
I have had Windows 7 for a while now and i must sday it is great improvement overall over Vista. I am however dissapointed with Internet Explorer 8.I find it very fustrating that Microsoft ahs created a new browser standard with IE 8 and that most sites dont work properly. I would much rather have IE7 and not have to use firefox or google chrome for internet browsing.I would like to see Microsoft build a leaner Internet explorer application sticking closer to the industry standards and making more plugins allowing corporations or individuals to add in plug ins to intereact with the specific microsoft applicationss.example. Outlook web access only displays folders properly with IE, but not with another browser, make an OWA plugin, make a better Media player plugin, office 2007 aonline applications plugin, the list can go on, i am sure others can think of some nice to have plugins.point of this message is that with each new release of Internet Explorer there is always a change in browser standards and it causes fustration with developers, users and corporations having to update and fix compatability issues because of these new standards..thoughts/comments?Thanks,

I've never liked IE one bit, but on the other hand you can't expect a beta version of IE running just fine on a beta version of Windows 7. I'm not doubting for one second that the final version of IE8 will work just as good (or bad) as it always did.

well i have always been a fan of IE and used as my primary web browser for many years. as good or bad as it is... it still gets the job done. though on vista IE7 does seem to have a memory leak as it would not respond many times and the memory usage would just climb and climb, highest i seen it get was 300,000k, that was my only complaint or pain point with IE and vista.i had installed ie8 beta when i had vista and was not happy with it as many sites did not display properly.. i guess this boild down to the W3 standards and how each new version of IE it changes and does not stick to the standards.with Windows 7 still being beta other browsers work fine (firefox/chrome).. i just wish MSFT would build it to the w3 standards and have a better use of plugins to create a better web browsing expereince.thinking of other typical add ins commonly used for a web browser here is the list came up with, everyeon has different usage, but these are typically the bare basics needed IMO.silverlightjavaadobewindows media playerquicktimenot so optionalWGAOGA
