I was wondering if anyone has written a Gadget that shows temps, fan speed? Seems like that would be pretty cool to have. I know programs like CoreTemp , SpeedFa n and Motherboard Monitor sort of work but often have trouble telling what applies to what (temp/fan).Rich

Detecting such info depends on the model of the chipset, motherboard, graphic card, even laptop or desktop.Here is another tool Rivatuner GPU Monitor Vista Sidebar Gadget that can work on windows 7 according to my test. However, it shows only the info of GPU. We have not find a product that can show both CPU and GPU hardware info yet.

This will add the sources to RivaTuner, which can then be displayed in the gadget. There is a sticky thread for the intel (RealTemp) and amd plugins in the RivaTuner forum.
