Antivirus CONFUSION
My daughter is getting a new pc. I bought NortonIS 2011 but returned it after my computer tech told me it was a resource hog and tends to slow everything down. I just would like to know what antivirus program to buy????? I want one that is effective but won't slow it down. I have been running Trend Micro IS 2010 on my pc but recently got a nasty trojan or something so I don't know if we should do Trend again?Trend Micro wouldn't work with Avast either so I took Avast off. The people at Trend told me they were incompatable which brings me to my next question.....I hear a lot of you suggesting multiple programs mixing the free ones with the store bought? I'm confused. I am a bit afraid to do that as well since it cost me a total formatting of my pc when I did it last year. What program other than Norton would you guys run on your pc especially a brand new one?
