No these are most likely NOT companies doing this but some lowly "Cracker" who thinks he's a hacker.THis SHOULD work:Try the trial version of Hitman Pro:Hitman Pro is a second opinion scanner, designed to rescue your computer from malware(viruses, trojans, rootkits, etc.) that have infected your computer despite all the securitymeasures you have taken (such as anti virus software, firewalls, etc.).http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro If the above doesn't work download the following off another computer to a flash drive THEN stick that flash drive in your FRIENDS computer:IF you can get to another computer:First, click on the links below, download Rkill and hitman pro save them to a flash/pen drive(USB dive). Plug in the USB device and click on rkill. Your desktop will disappear briefly. This is normal. Once they reappear you should then be able to click on and run Hitman Pro. Note: If you reboot your computer at any time prior to the complete removal of the malware, other than when instructed by the scanner, you will have to run rkill again. You may have to run rkill several times to get the malware processed stopped. It will eventually stop it though. If, after several tries it still doesn't stop the malware process, reboot in safe mode with networking. Try rkill first though. This is because any time you shut down an infected system you run the risk it will not reboot.rkill.com Download Linkhttp://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanproYes the above IS a trial version, but it deleted an Alureon Virus(Severe)That quite a few other scanners missed. To stop this from happening again I suggest that you download the following free tools(AFTER, you get rid of the virus/rogue):http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.phpThis will check for malware, AND registry key errors, or so most of the forums say. >.>http://superantispyware.com/You can download the free version and it will check for spyware as wellhttp://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.htmlThis is a GREAT AV it works EXTREMELY well in conjunction for the above.Young and learning...Have mercy - ChaosIf this post resolves your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" buttons. Chaos_Edit - you are not editing chaos, you are *creating* it by posting "answers" that are wrong and/or dangerous. You may say you are "young and learning" but will you have mercy on the poor people who try to follow your instructions and mess up their computers by doing so? Learn and really know what you are doing before you try and tell people what to do."walthaig" - Your friend's computer is still infected. The smartest thing to do would be to back up his data and do a clean install of Windows. You have not gotten "rid of it" nor is there any legal recourse. That's just being silly. If you still want to try and clean it, you will need to run Doug Knox's .exe fix (which is not an .exe so you can run it) and then go through the thorough malware removal steps at the second link below.http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htmhttp://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_MalwareMS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

Please visit this page and follow the guide in order to fully remove this program and any related malware:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivir-solution-proThe instructions will walk you through removing it totally for free. I know because I tested the instructions against the actual malware. Be careful of sites that give generic fixes or tell you to run programs like Spyware Doctor, which wont remove it until you purchase it.--GrinlerMicrosoft MVP Consumer Securityhttp://www.bleepingcomputer.com/
