AntiVirus software will not run with WLAN AUTOCONFIG enabled. Goes to BSOD.
I have a NETGEAR wireless router that is connected to my compuiter via an ethernet cable. I connected a printer to the wireless router via an ethernet cable. When I try to run AntiVirus software, it will not run with WLAN AUTOCONFIG enabled in Windows 7. Goes to BSOD. When I disable WLAN, the antivirus software works but I cannot connect to my printer. My wife's computer runs Windows 7 and also has the WLAN AUTOCONFIG service and connects to the same printer through a USB Wireless adapter and the NETGEAR wireless router and it works ok. I have not been able to find a solution to this problem. The computer is a brand new Dell with Windows 7 Home Premium. The router is NETGEAR but I don't know the model number so I will have to wait until I get home to add it to this post. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I would like to suggest you uninstall and reinstall the latest versions of the wireless network card driver and the antivirus program to test the issue first. If it does not work, would you please upload the minidump files to the public folder of SkyDrive and provide us the link for analyzing? Collect Minidump Files ================= 1. Click "Start", input "SYSDM.CPL" (without quotation marks) in the Search Bar and press Enter. 2. Click the "Advanced" tab and click the "Settings" button under "Startup and Recovery". 3. Under "Write debugging information" section, make sure the "Small Memory Dump (64KB)" option is selected. 4. Check if "%SystemRoot%\Minidump" is in the "Small Dump Directory" open box. If the Blue Screen appears again, please refer to the following steps to collect memory dump files: 1. Click “Start”, type %SystemRoot%\Minidump" (without quotation marks) in “Search” bar and press Enter. 2. Go to your Desktop, right-click on it and create a new folder named "Dump". 3. Copy all the memory dump files (looks like Mini092008-01.dmp) in Minidump to this folder. 4. Right-click on the Dump folder, click "Send To", and click "Compressed (zipped) Folder". 5. Please send the ZIP file as an attachment to SkyDrive. Regards,Arthur Li - MSFT
