Hi,
Yes they do, the updated client adds new capabilities and improved detection, also there can also be the case at is has been before that an old client cannot clean virus that are included in the updated enginge/definitions but it also needs and update of the client to be able to clean it. So yes I would recommend that you update all the client versions to the latest version as well.

Hi,
It is available in the latest CU released today, CU1 for SCCM 2012 R2 sp1,
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3074857 or in the latest CU for the version you use. Otherwise they are also available as updates in Microsoft Update/SUP as well.
