It's because of the unique user security identifiers (SID). Windows (from ver. 2000 upwards) uses them in handling permissions. This way it keeps track on permissions, activity, etc, of every user account/user group regardless of name. If you rename Administrator, his file permissions, for example, remain unchanged. So. Your XP "Administrator" has his own unique SID, different from the Win7 one. So even if both accounts are the same name, they don't have the same access permissions defined, from the operating system perspective. Simply modify your drive permissions to Everyone/full control. Not very secure I admit, but the simplest possible workaround, and if you have the Windows firewall enabled, secure enough :)System Specs: Windows 7 x64 RC Build 7100, AMD A64x2 5300+ Black @ 3GHz, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM @ 800MHz, Gigabyte GA-MA790X DS4 Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD3870 512MB GDDR4, SB Live24 Sound
