Am Admin & Owner but still need permission to make changes
This may all stem from an "invisible" user that got mistakenly created when I installed Win7 Home Premium 32 and now Win7 won't let me whack. Any way, with many operations, especially in Windows Explorer I keep getting error messages that either need Administrator privileges or I need permission from the hidden user. Under User account I am the administrator with full privileges. I am also the owner with full privileges. Is there anything that can be done to make my supposed administrator privileges real as well as kill that hidden user? I'm guessing No as it seems Redmond's programmers don't trust users and like to show off instead of writing logical, easy to understand and compact code.Fr Elise - Support the Heart & Breast Cancer Foundations. http://www.amazon.com/Gospel-Our-Lord-Jesus-Christ/dp/1449947565/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265754374&sr=1-15

Hi, what you see is the User Account Control: User Account Control What is User Account Control ? Whith UAC you have standard user rights (filtered token) until you request an application to run with admin rights. UAC reduces 90% of the security issues in Windows. So leave it turned on.
