Hello,

I've noticed for a long time that in Windows 8.1 when I'm playing a fullscreen or borderless windowed game, the alt-tab menu looks different and also has a variety of useless junk cluttering it up that doesn't appear in the normal menu such as the Search Pane and multiple unnamed programs that do nothing when switched to.
(Apologies for the images being weird, the forum won't let me post images or links until my account is verified, which I have yet to recieve an email for strangely)

The Search Pane is always the first thing selected, meaning I have to shift multiple times to get out of the game, which, while not the end of the world, is rather annoying. I don't know what causes this, and despite looking for hours I can't find a solution.

I'd either like:

A) A way to completely delete the search pane, which I don't use anyway, so that it will not appear in the alt-tab menu.
or
B) A way to make it so the topmost style of menu is used no matter what program I'm tabbing out of.

But that isn't all... I've also noticed that after tabbing out of the game, unless my active window is the desktop, the game doesn't appear on the menu and I can't switch back to it. Example (the same programs are open as in the topmost picture, the only difference is that I have a window other than my desktop active):

Once again, this is completely bizzare and I wonder if anyone knows how I can fix this?
