Alltel HAUWEI internet connect issue
I have contacted Alltel, which is where I get my wireless internet service, and have talked to the advanced tech. dept. And something is missing in my Windows XP, so they say, so I can't run the wireless internet. It tells me that it can't connect and that i might need to change my network settings. We have tried to reset the computer and could not because something is missing. The tech. dept. at Alltel and I can not firgure out what to do.1 person got this answerI do too

Windows Xp Left click Start Right click My Computer Left click on Properties Left click Hardware tab Left click Device Manager button Left click + Network Adapters Now your looking for some thing like wifi / wireless / 802.11 Anything like this is a wireless card / nic / connection. Any thing with a yellow tringle blue circle = contact pc maker Red cross = adapter disabled. 2. If you have this wireless card you may need to changed IP setting etc to auto Left click Start Left click Run type in the box ncpa.cpl and press enter typing this will bring up your network connectionsRight click on the Wireless Adatper Left click on Properties Scroll down to the line Internet Protocol (tcp/ip) and right click on line to highlight Then left click the Properties button Check that ip & dns is on auto No2 will only be available with a working wireless card..........hope some of this makes sense Shazbot is the 1 TrophyManager
