Allow unsecured bluetooth serial port connection
Hello, I am trying to set up a bluetooth virtual port (SPP). The hardware (BT-200) uses unsecured connection and in the user manual, there is explicitly written that the device pairs without any pairing code only, and, following the Windows XP instructions, "Secure Connections" must be unchecked on the bluetooth port properties to make it working (I have not found this setting on Windows 7, is it anywhere?). Now, everytime I try to use the port, Windows asks me to authorize the device which is trying to connect and requires a pairing code. Howere, as noted above, there is none available, I even tried the few popular default ones. How can I make the Windows 7 to accept the device without any pairing code? Regards, Jan

I take it your device lacks the capability to use a pairing code? you may need to replace the device Windows MVP, paid Remote Assistance is available for XP, Vista and Windows 7.
