Allocate hard drive memory in Windows 7
My C: drive on my Windows 7 pc has around 70 GB of space, 65 of which is already filled. However, the D: drive is completely empty and has another 100 GB. I tried using Disk Management to allocate some memory from D: to C:, but the option for "extend" for the C: drive was greyed out, even after I shrunk the D: drive. Is it possible to allocate memory between the C: and D: drives in this way, or will I have to use something else? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You need to move space from your D drive to your C drive. Go to this link and download the free application. http://www.partition-tool.com/download.htm

please download the program TreeSizeFree [1] and run it. It shows you which folders use all the space. Are you able to locate the folder which uses most space? Now check if you can move them to drive D. If you want to resize the partition use a 3rd party tool: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ http://partedmagic.com/ André [1] http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
