I being post graduate in computers, used beta versions of Microsoft Windows OSses, but sent ownself in troubles every now and then, to start with a second hand computer (but purchased way costly) of much less configuration not exactly compatible for Windows OSses, rest many troubles collapsed OSses, but even now for a computer of genuine Intel motherboard and Intel Core i3 processor I troubled because of slow speed for IDE hard disk (just note: starting computer (Celeron 750 MHz) installed Windows 7 in 25 minutes without fail but new computer (i3210 3.2 GHz multicore, multithreads) wouldn't detect IDE hard disk if detected at all then would fail during extremely slow installs of Windows OSses took almost 5 hours of default installation) because I used SATA hard disk cables for IDE to SATA adapter were faulty,
Used: ((many) faulty)...
(Note absence of double lockings at contact.)
Intel SATA data cables: (for fault free)...
(Please note double lockings at contact.)
Faulty SATA data cables were causing all trouble, Intel's SATA data cables not only detected IDE hard disks but installed Windows OSses early.
Just for saving your troubles (and efforts of MSVPs, MSFT CSGs, 'MCC, Partner, MVP''s) use fault free genuine hardware (and software).
Best of luck.
