All browsers I am using crash continually (IE8, Firefox, Chrome) and when I try to run DSKCHK it will not run.
DSKCHK goes to Step 2 and then says that it cannot complete the DSKCHK. When I tried to do the Run Command DSKCHK /f it crashed the computer altogether. Also when I reboot the computer it asks me to run the DSKCHK almost every time which have done numerous times already and I checked in the configuration and /SOS is not checked so it should prompt me with the Disk Check every time.Any help anybody can give?1 person needs an answerI do too

Start out with the basics of testing your hard drive for physical failure. Test the hard drive with a diagnostic utility downloaded from the drive mftr.'s website or use Seagate's SeaTools For DOS. You will create a bootable CD with the file you download. You will need third-party burning software to do this such as Roxio, Nero, or the free ImgBurn. Burn as an image, not as data. http://www.imgburn.com http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/seatools/seatooldreg http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=201271 (how-to) Boot with the CD you made and do a thorough test of the drive. If it fails any physical tests, replace it.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
