All Program Files Read-Only?!? WTH
Loaded up 64 Bit version, How do i change the security setting to keep my program files/folders from all being Read-Only This is very frustrating when i need to save things like plug-ins / skins for certain programs Any idaes?

The folder Program Files is not Read-only. I suspect that the programs you are using are not compatible with UAC so they are not able to write to the folder. You may disable UAC temporary and then check the result. If the issue persists, please let us know if you have receive any error message. Also let us know the names of the programs.Arthur Xie - MSFT

I'm having this problem as well, and disabling UAC does not fix the problem. I'm installing a service which we wrote, using an MSI which we created using Visual Studio 2008. When I start the service, which is running under a local administrator account, it fails because it is trying to create a log folder in the installation directory. Even when I'm logged in as an adminstrator account, I can't create files in the directory where our service is installed. I'm trying to do the install under Windows 7 64-bit
