Everytime I try to load up any MMC snapin it opens a notepad with XML code in it. No matter which one I try to open. I feel like some dependecy is somehow missing or something has become corrupt. I tried running sfc, restoring to a previous point, and even doing an upgrade. Trying to refrain from a full reinstall. Has anyone ever had this issue or suggest something else for me to try?

Notepad may have been asigned to .msc files accidently or by a third party program.Open your registry editor (regedit.exe) and look for this key. If it exists delete it.The image pointsto the key to delete.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.msc\UserChoice
