I've probably the most irritating ever, which I initially thought was a virus or registry error but when I run either my anti-virus (AVG Pro. INternet 2011) or PC Registry Mechanic no problems are found. Here is the problem, I can't copy and paste any file/s or folder/s on my computer from one location to another. For example when I attempt to copy a file or folder from one location to another on my laptop to another location it simply stalls and doesn't execute the command, it doesn't matter what file or folder it is whether it be an album, an mp3 song, photo, photo folder, nothing happens. I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit and the problem began about a month ago and persists. I have enough hard drive space so what do you guys think the problem could be? The funny thing is that when I attempt to copy files from my ipod (storage mode), the command is executed normally but when I attempt the same thing from and to other external devices nothing happens and no these other deviecs are not copy-write protected. This is frustrating and I'm at my wits end about this issue so please good people HELP! I've also tried the ESET online scanner and it found nothing, I've also tried the same thing with Malware Bytes.

Any errors.. Try sfc /scannow. Just a shot.
