Hi there,obviously the algorithm for calculating the auto metric per NIC changed from XP to Vista. I think for Windows XP just the speed of the NIC was used for the calculation of the metric (>200Mbps: metric 10, >20Mbps: metric 20, >4Mbps: metric 30 ...).When I take a look at the routing table for Windows 7 the metric for the default gateway is 266, the metric for the loopback address is 306 (in XP it was 1).So I'd like to know what is the used algorithm for the calculation.Many thanks in advance,Jip
