Akamai Download Manager crashes while downloading VS2012
While downloading VS2012 Ultimate [<label class="description" id="description1">"Visual Studio Ultimate 2012 (x86) - DVD (English)"] </label> from MSDN subscribers download page, the Akamai Download Manager crashes. It opens up, it seem to start the download, then it crashes before actually starting the download. It is an ActiveX control which was installed on my IE after I clicked the 'Download' button . I have been able to reproduce on two different Windows 7 machines. The same link is downloading well on IE 7 running on Windows XP SP3 using the same download manager. I searched the net but couldn't find a resolution to this problem. This is surprising that how millions of Visual Studio users have not reported this problem. (I have already submitted a feedback through Akamai website.) Is there an alternative way for downloading for MSDN subscriber?
