After starting windows the monitor goes to standby (screen is almost completely dimmed/black) but the computer is on
Standby is usually activated on my computer when the screen is closed depressing a small button in the top left or when I set it to go on standby. After the screen kicks out I can press the standby button once and sometimes screen turns back on. If this doesn't work I can use the standby function on my keyboard to put the computer on standby and when I turn the computer back on the monitor comes back on but only for maybe 30 seconds. I have reinstalled the operating system which solved the problem for the first few start ups but after installing all the necessary updates the problem came back. I've run a disk check and come back with no errors, run a scan on the monitor with no errors, the standby button does not seem to be stuck in anyway, for the moment my monitor is working but will go on standby again if I restart the computer.1 person needs an answerI do too
