After recent update computer wont't wake up from sleep mode with pressing a key on the keyboard

Dear All!

Until a recent update every time when I sent my PC into sleep mode with my keyboard, I could wake it up with pressing a key, or moving the mouse. But not anymore. Nothing else changed, but an automatic Windows 8.1 update happened.

Do others have the same new problem?

With XP I hadn't have a single problem even without re installing it for 5 years. This Win 8.1 is a goddamned bug nest...

Some details:

Asrock s1150 Z87 Extreme 4 Motherboard, Logitech K800 keyboard.

Thanks & best regards,

Felix

If you think that it's happening after a recent update then you may uninstall that update via Control Panel (Programs > Uninstall a program).

2nd option is to go for a System Restore. Select any restore point when everything was fine.

Hi FelixRaven,

We wonder if there is any luck your problem has been resolved.

since still no similar cases have been reported recently. As S.Sengupta suggested, you could perform a system restore for good measure.

if your issue persists, please ensure if there is third-party software or service interruption. You could refer to Clean Boot to achieve it:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Beyond that, this issue can also be caused by the ACPI of your BIOS. If the issue still occurs in Clean Boot, I suggest you upgrade the BIOS.

Best regards,
