After re-install Win XP, unable to Restore Backup files
I used Backup Utility under Win XP Pro, Accessories System Tools to backup my C drive onto a portable hard drive.A virus destroyed my Win XP boot system. A local computer store was not able repair my computer, hence, he re-installed Win XP Pro. In the freshly installed Win XP Pro system, I tried to restore the backup files but failed. Message I got : "The backup file contains unrecognized data and cannot be used".Please suggest what I should do as all my children photos/videos and last 10 year tax records are in the backup file. Thank you.Sonny Z
