After Hibernate/Cold Start (wireless) network connectivity problems
I'm running Windows 7RC for a few months now and since a few weeks I'm experiencing network connectivity problems. When I startup a computer from hibernate or cold start it takes several minutes before the network connection has been made properly. The first minutes I can connect to Wireless Networks, but I only can get limited connectivity. All of the used networks use WPA2 encryption. After a minute or two it just reconnects properly and the connection is ok.Other installed software which uses network adapters or some virtual network adapters are VMware Player and Cisco VPN Client. But this shouldn't be the cause, because it worked correct for about 1,5 month. The used hardware is aHP NC8430 notebookwith Intel PRO 3945ABG wireless adapter. Is someone else also experiencing this kind ofproblem or knows a solution for it?

I'm having the same problems. Networking was working at first with no problems when I installed about 2 months ago but the problems you describe (delayed connectivity) started soon after. I have the same wireless adapter...humm. I'm going to try reinstalling.benrickles

"updating" the nic drivers to the older version (12.2.x) worked. When I went to install I also saw an MS driver available. I didn't try this but this may work also if you don't want to go so far back in regards driver version. Also, maybe just uninstalling\reinstalling the latest Intel drivers might work - but I'll leave that for someone else to verify - gotta get some real work done now :)benrickles

The problem is more complicated then I thought before. Also the wired connections are not working properly. The NIC says it is connected and Windows also says it's connected but the IPv4 driver doesn't request an IP (dhcp)for about 2 minutes.
