After Hibernate, laptop doesn't use all available screen area
Sometimes when I restore my laptop from hibernation, the desktop does something funny and won't use the entire screen area. The whole desktop is colored with the background color, but icons are only on the left two-thirds of the screen, and when I maximize a window it also only takes up 2/3 of the screen. I can't move most windows over there. Or rather I can sometimes move them partly over there, but only as far as the mouse going 2/3 across. Once that window is over there, I cannot click on anything in that right third of the desktop. The only way I know of to restore the situation is to log off of my userid and log back in. Which completely defeats the purpose of hibernate!I have a Dell laptop, and I switch between being in a docking station at work with external monitor, and using the laptop as a laptop. That's when this issue occurs - when I switch. I've had this laptop for 3 years, and this problem only started happening within about the last 6 months or so. So I assume it's a problem in some service pack or other. If there's a way to get this to stop happening, that would be awesome. But if there's a way to correct the problem without having to close all my open programs and log in again, that would be almost just as good.
