Adobe Flash Player Compatible?
Hi I was wondering if Adobe Flash player was compatible with IEbeta, or even 7? I am using this browser for many sites that I visit, but they require flash and upon updating my computer to Windows7 Beta I cannot download from the flash site. Please help thanks.

Flash Player isn't compatible with 64-bit browsers. You need to use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer, or another 32-bit browser. You can find the 32-bit version of IE by searching for "internet" in the Start Menu. From there, you can pin it on your taskbar and unpin the 64-bit one.

Try to reinstall it... The problem is exclusive to 64-bit browsers, so obviously you wouldn't experience it when running on a non-64-bit OS.

....Are you guys sure about this?I'm running Windows 7 Beta 64-bit, with IE 8 beta, and I have Adobe Flash Player 10 installed and working just fine!I can view video clips on the BBC web-site and on You Tube.Maybe the problem is with video drivers?

Flash Player has installed fine for me (on Win 7 32 Bit) but I have had a problem with Google Analytics. This uses Flash Player and, currently, IE 8.0 shows black boxes where analytical detail should be displayed; however, changing to 'compatibility mode' rectified the problem. Flash Player also downloaded to my PC without any issuesJohn Barnett - Windows XP Associate Expert; Windows Desktop Experience. - Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk; Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org; Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org

This has been a known issue pretty much since the beginning of the IE8 beta.

Ah... this is odd indeed - it is true that Adobe Flash only runs on the 32-bit version of IE, yet my (bare metal) install of Windows 7 automatically placed the 32-bit version in the taskbar. If you don't havethis on your system, thenclick on the Start button, click All Programs, you should see both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of IE listed. So if you want to use Flash, just select the 32-bit one.Adobe say they are working on a 64-bit Flash, but theyare notquite there yet.

Hello...I've been trying to figure out the same thing but I think I've finally found out that Adobe Flash 10 requires a better processor than I have on my laptop. if you look at the system requirements you will see that you need an Intel Athlon processor (or the equivilant). I have an Intel Celoron processor which is basically the low-end processor. Most laptops have a sticker that says what kind of processor you have, or you can find it under Control Panel, System, Device Manager. Click Processors to expand the list and it will tell you what kind you have. Now my husband knows why the laptop he bought me for Christmas was so cheap.

Well, here it is a year later since win7 was released and still no x64 Flash player. You'd think if MS was pushing this so hard they would have a tech over at Adobe trying to help them get their systems up to par. But of course you can't do anything without releasing code. Then again, seeing our own programmers jerking our clients around and not putting in fixes for simple problems or being to busy with other projects I can't get bitchy at Microsoft or Adobe. But would you please get this up and running. It's embarrassing for a tech to have to explain that oh the new x64 IE isn't compatible with your old websites, you have to use the older version....leaves the client thinking, "Well, hey why did I upgrade?"
