Adobe9 stopped working unexpectedly with error message 1406
I have a dell laptop with windows xp. I have had adobe versions downloaded on my computer with no problems. Recently when trying to open file, dialog box stated "encountered problems and must close down. Details state: Received error message 1406, Value to key/software/ms/window/current version/explain 180F081C-E8AD4283-A596-FA57C2EBCPBDC3. I've had adobe installed previously and have never had a problem. Now I cannot get it to work. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall with no success. Would appreciate any assistance. Thank Kathy
