On March 14th we downloaded all kinds of Microsoft Updates for 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium. And then even more on the 18th and more on the 20th. Now the adminstrator account no longer works. Many programs say 'this cannot be done because you are not an adminstrator'. But when I go look at the account (the only one we have) it shows to be an administrator account. I think the problems started after the downloads on the 14th but I can't really remember. Does anyone know if others are having similar problems after the recent downloads? Any idea what can be done to get the adminstrator account working again? Thanks, KE

Hi, please make a sysem restore [1] to go back before the update installation. Is everything now working? If yes, check which updates you get offered and install them 1 folloed by the other until you found the update which caused the issue. if you found it, please tell us the KB number. I tried to do a system restore yesterday and that gave me a failure error also.
