Adminstator & Safe Mode
I'm using Hp Pavillion dm4-1006tu. Windows7 , Sp-1. The basic problem is that I have issues regarding the administrator rights. So solve the issue I'd been asked to boot windows in safe mode. But I don't get any options when I press the F8 key. I tried with all possible ways and it still doesn't work. When I press F2 I get something related to BIOS. In nowhere I could find an option to enter through Safe Mode. Please assist me regarding this. I'm not able to access any file in the windows folder. It says I don't have the permission to access the specified item. I cant even use system recovery or any other file. :( When I try To take ownership of Windows folder. I get an error saying " Can't open control access editor. Access Denied" . Assist me regarding this. Thank You.

Hi there Well, first off, never ever try and take ownership of the Windows folder, its such an amazingly bad idea. I wont go on about it as it has been covered time and again, but suffice it to say that it is a remarkably bad idea to do it. Right, that said: What version of Windows 7 are you using? Is the account you are using a computer administrator or standard user? Are you connected to a domain? This may sound dumb, but are you pushing F8 at the right time? Best advice there is once the BIOS screen has gone, keep pushing F8 until you see the start up selection screen. Let me know the above, and I can try and help further.
