How do i change the administrstor to myself on a used computer. My mistakes started with simply changing the name mandy-pc to James-pc. Now everything i do needs permission from james-pc/mandy-pc. So i continued to mess up by changing access for mandy-pc, everything is now denied for mandy-pc, so now i can't access some programs and files. please help me get rid of mandy for good. i really believe this can be done without reinstalling windows 7

Sir, please add your User to Administrator group by : Right click on Computer ---> Manage ---> System Tools --> Local Users and Groups ---> Groups --> Double click on Administrator ---> add your user --> ok ---> Log Off --> login again Regards, MCP | MCTS | MCITP

I can get as far as system tools. Local Users and Groups is not an option in the system tools.
