Is there any way for an administrator to force a user to log off a locked workstation when Fast User Switching is disabled?

This really does not prevent a solution for most Enterprise Support Staff when standing in front of the comptuer. We have submitted several requests to Microsoft with no one able to provide a solution to date. Unless Fast User Switching is enabled, you cannot override the current logged in user while standing in front of the computer. In the case of a Call Center and shared desktops, you could potentially task the resources on a single computer until it is rebooted.

We had the same issues so when a computer is locked I just go back to my machine and run this powershell command to log them off. (gwmi win32_operatingsystem -ComputerName MyServer).Win32Shutdown(0)

I suppose you could always log on and then force the logoff from Task Manager. Messy I know, but it works. Mark M Webster

I realize I am really late on the draw for this one, but this problem has just cropped up for us and I was wondering if there has been a reliable fix for it yet? I work in an Army hospital, and often times it is necessary to log someone off as an admin, because they locked their machine, to fix an issue. We also have many machines that are multiple users. We are just migrating to Win7, and I'm hoping someone out there has a better answer now. Thank you.

I found this setup here on another microsoft forum. It works, sadly though its not quite what i needed, as a button for the user to click and it forces a logoff without prompting for credentials...
