Administrator User account, not able to logon with password!!!
Dear All, All of a sudden after uninstalling a heavy duty game, each time I try to logon to my user account I keep getting the error message 'THE USER PROFILE SERVICE SERVICE FAILED THE LOGON. USER PROFILE CANNOT BE LOADED'. I tried a system restore but i don't have any restore points beyond the day this happened. If i start up in safe mode i see an error message 'YOUR USER PROFILE WAS NOT LOADED CORRECTLY.YOU HAVE BEEN LOGGED ON WITH THE DEFAULT PROFILE FOR THE SYSTEM'. I can only logon with a guest acount. It seems I have always been using the default Administrator account because in safe mode it will not allow me to make any changes whatsoever. I have lost all documents and pictures but I know they on the system as I can see some of them in 'Recent Items'. I also got another error message 'INITIALIZATION COULD NOT BE WRITTEN TO. MAKE SURE THAT THE DIRECTORY PATH EXISTS AND DISK SPACE IS AVAILABLE. any help is much appreciated, thank you. I have a Sony vaio

Your other error you posted is ... 'YOUR USER PROFILE WAS NOT LOADED CORRECTLY.YOU HAVE BEEN LOGGED ON WITH THE DEFAULT PROFILE FOR THE SYSTEM'. Are you sure you have the error message copied correctly ? Are you sure it was not ..... Your user profile was not loaded correctly. You have been logged in using a temporary profile" If it solves your problem, I did it. If it does not, my twin brother did it.

Hi, A temporary profile is issued each time that an error condition prevents the user's profile from loading. Temporary profiles are deleted at the end of each session, and changes made by the user to desktop settings and files are lost when the user logs off. A user profile consists of the following elements: 1.A registry hive. The registry hive is the file NTuser.dat. The hive is loaded by the system at user logon, and it is mapped to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry key. The user's registry hive maintains the user's registry-based preferences and configuration. 2.A set of profile folders stored in the file system. User-profile files are stored in the Profiles directory, on a folder per-user basis. The user-profile folder is a container for applications and other system components to populate with sub-folders, and per-user data such as documents and configuration files. Windows Explorer uses the user-profile folders extensively for such items as the user's Desktop, Start Menu and My Documents folder. We can perform the following method to resolve such issue: 1. Restart your PC to release the locks on your profile. 2. Log on with another administrative account 3. Delete C:\Users\%username% 4. Delete C:\Users\TEMP 5. Delete the registry key matching your SID from "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList". Check the value "ProfileImagePath" to make sure you pick your own profile. 6. Restart once again. Good Luck. Are you sure your user account is really an administrator account? If you forgot Vista administrator account password, you need to follow this tips. You can reset Vista password on command prompt with an available admin account to enter safe mode first. If you have another Windows Vista admin account, try these steps below: Step 1: Press F8 when your Windows Vista PC is booting. You will come to the Advanced Boot Options. Then choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt and press Enter. Step 2: Enter safe mode with an available admin account. Step 3: Type "net user" and press Enter. The command prompt will show you all accounts on the Windows Vista PC. Step 4: Type "net user Paul 123" (Paul is the locked admin account's name and 123 is the new password) and press Enter. Now you have successfully created a new password on the locked admin account. Step 5: Type "shutdown -r -t 00" and press Enter. Your Windows Vista PC should be rebooted automatically and then you can logon Windows Vista with the new password. If you have only one admin account and you lost its password, I think you have to use some third party windows password recovery software.
